I love getting wrapped up in a good book, eager to know what happens next. My motivation is to ensure that my clients' books can deliver that kind of experience to readers without the distractions of syntax errors, dangling modifiers, or missing punctuation, to name a few. I believe in accomplishing this goal while preserving each author's voice and unique style.

I earned my bachelor's degree in English from Texas A&M University, and I have been editing ever since. As I've developed my expertise, I have avidly studied the Chicago Manual of Style to guide authors toward consistency in their work.

 

I especially enjoy editing contemporary fiction, historical fiction, suspense novels, and women's fiction. I also have extensive experience with nonfiction, including memoirs, self-help books, and magazine articles.

When I'm not editing, I enjoy cooking tasty new recipes, exploring Dallas with my husband, and relaxing at home with a good cup of coffee.
